Salted Caramel Chai Cocktail

I’m going to let you in on a little secret… I have a major weakness for salted caramel. So, when I heard that Pinnacle Vodka had a salted caramel vodka I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to try it. And try it I did. After doing a quick taste test, I knew exactly what to make with it… a salted caramel chai cocktail. Oh yeah.

My love for salted caramel runs deep. I’ll pick up a couple dark chocolate salted caramels when I visit fine candy stores. I’ll sometimes drink a hot salted caramel mocha cocktail. And I’ve been known to make salted caramel brownies. Warning. Don’t click on the link for the brownies unless you want your life to change. My husband found that recipe maybe two months ago and I’ve already made them more times than I care to count.

Back to the vodka… Pinnacle is known for interesting vodka infusions. So far I’ve tried the rainbow sherbet vodka and the blueberry vodka. Alright, blueberry isn’t that out there but some other fun flavors they have are caramel apple, peachberry cobbler and pecan pie. All good for fall vodka cocktails if you ask me.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a salted caramel vodka. But I found out quickly. It starts out salty and then goes to the buttery vanilla flavors of caramel. Drinking it reminds me of eating salted caramel candy. It also made me want to make a batch of the previously mentioned brownies. Instead, I took another sip of vodka. I think it will be a good vodka for mixing in a variety of cocktails. It’s also just fine for sipping straight from the bottle. Not that I’ve done that or anything.

As for chai tea, I’m also a big fan. In addition to visiting Starbucks a few times a week for a cup of chai, I also make them at home. I may have also experimented with making some chai tea donuts. According to the husband and kids, I should make them again. And I’m sure I will. One day. For now, I’ll just drink this salted caramel chai cocktail. Oh and maybe also a vanilla chai tea cocktail or two.
