We love infused alcohols here at One Martini so we decided to try our hand at infusing some tequila. Our first venture was this Mango Papaya Pineapple Infused Tequila. We would have to say it was a success. Although the name is a little long so you can go ahead and just call it fruit infused tequila. We don’t mind.
Since making this mango papaya pineapple infused tequila, I’ve tried my hand at a few other creations. One was blood orange infused tequila. That had a beautiful pink color and a nice citrus flavor. Another one was the pineapple habanero infused tequila. It was sweet and spicy (kind of like me).
Mango Papaya Pineapple Infused Tequila
- Silver tequila
- Mason jar or some other glass jar with a tight fitting lid
Cut up mango, papaya, and pineapple.
Put a small handful of each fruit into a mason jar.
Fill mason jar with tequila.
Put lid on mason jar, label it with name and date and put it in the fridge.
Give the jar a gentle shake every day. After two or three days check the flavor the fruit infused tequila. If the flavor is where you want it, strain the fruit. If not, put it back in the fridge and check it every day until it’s where you want it.
To strain the fruit, pour the tequila through a strainer or cheesecloth into a clean mason jar.
