Honey Simple Syrup for all your cocktail needs

Ingredients such as simple syrup, sweet and sour mix and grenadine are essentials for any bar. But there are other items that can be used to enhance cocktails, such as this honey simple syrup we are sharing today.

It’s easy to make with just two ingredients and it can sweeten cocktails with a nice honey flavor. You can also be creative with your honey syrup and infuse it with different herbs such as rosemary, basil and mint. Another good item to infuse with it is ginger. Oh how I love me some ginger in my cocktails.

Plus, honey is good for you. Local honey can help minimize seasonal allergies and can help with sore throats and coughs. The invert sugar in honey converts to instant energy. I would take a spoonful of honey over a Red Bull any day. So, if you use a little bit of this honey syrup in your cocktails you could help get rid of your allergies and get a little boost of energy. Doesn’t that sound like a good reason to make a batch right now?

If you have any honey left over after you make your syrup you could even use it to condition your hair and skin.

Talk about a multi-use product.
