Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur

So far we have given you spirit reviews of Allspice Dram, KINKY Liqueur and Tahoe Blue Vodka. Now it’s time for a recent addition to my liquor cabinet… Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur which has been featured in many cocktails including the Meyer Lemon Ginger Margaritas and the Blood Orange Ginger Cocktail.

About Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur

Domaine De Canton is a French Ginger Liqueur. It is handmade starting with fresh baby Vietnamese ginger combined with herbs and spices. Also added to the mix are eau-de-vie (brandy made by crushing and fermenting fruit), VSOP and XO Grande Champagne Cognacs.

Sounds fancy, doesn’t it?

Ginger Liqueur

When tasting this Ginger Liqueur it starts off with a bit of sweet and then the spicy ginger flavor hits. It finishes off with the flavors of the other spices used in the liqueur.

It’s thick like a liqueur should be but not too syrupy. With 28% alc./vol. it’s a great cocktail ingredient to add several dimensions of flavor to cocktail recipes without being too strong.

Where to buy Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur

I bought my 750 ml bottle of Ginger Liqueur at Total Wine for $29.99. You can also find this Ginger Liqueur at BevMo for $31.99.

If you’re lucky, maybe you can also find it at your local grocery store in the liquor aisle although I expect it would be more expensive.
