Christmas and candy canes go together like Thanksgiving and turkey. You can’t have one without the other. But you know what makes Christmas and candy canes even better? That’s right. VODKA. This candy cane vodka will make your holiday season exactly what it should be… cheerful!
Candy infused vodka is very easy to make. You add candy to booze and let it sit. Sometimes it only takes a few hours (like the candy corn vodka), other times it takes a few days (like the jelly bean vodka). This candy cane vodka takes one to two days to infuse. This vodka is not only a real treat for you to enjoy during the holiday season, but it’s also great as a gift. Put a little bow on the jar and it’s all set as the perfect present for your vodka loving friends.
How to make Candy Cane Vodka
Candy Canes (8 to 12 for a pint size jar, 15 to 20 for a full 750 ml bottle of vodka)
Take a handful of candy canes and put them in a mason jar. If only doing small batches of vodka, use pint sized mason jars. If doing a larger batch, use a quart size mason jar.
Fill the mason jar with vodka and put the lid on it.
Label the jar with the date and name and let it sit either in the fridge or on the counter. Really wherever you have space but can still see the jar.
Give the jar a little shake every day.
After one to two days the candy canes will have dissolved and you will be left with a pinkish colored liquid - aka delicious, minty, wonderful Candy Cane Vodka!
