Hope you enjoyed the last set of Campari Cocktails, including two different Negronis (one with gin and one with vodka) and The Boulevardier. We have a couple more Campari cocktail recipes for you with this Italian apertif… Campari Orange and Campari and Soda.
For those of you that don’t know, an aperitif is best served before a meal as a way to stimulate the appetite. It’s usually a light and dry cocktail.
You could pour yourself a glass of Campari on the rocks and drink that before a meal. Or you could make a Campari cocktail.
Personally, I like to do the latter.
Campari Cocktail Recipes
I’ve seen many different recipes for Campari Orange. For a cocktail with only two ingredients, it’s surprising how many different ways people can make it. But I guess that’s the beauty of cocktail creating. Recipes can be made differently for each person.
My preferred preparation is to use one and half ounces of each Campari and fresh squeezed orange juice. If you don’t like it with equal parts, tweak the recipe to fit your own needs.
1 part Campari
1 part fresh squeezed orange juice
Pour Campari into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with fresh squeezed orange juice. Garnish with an orange wheel. Stir to combine before drinking.
Campari and Soda
If you’ve ever looked at the back of a Campari bottle, you’ve probably seen this cocktail recipe. I like to use one ounce of Campari to two ounces of soda water but you can adjust the amounts based on your tastes (and how much you want to drink).
1/3 part Campari
2/3 part soda water
Combine ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange wheel.
If it’s the summer, you could make one of these Campari cocktail recipes into alcohol ice cubes. Just sayin’
